Vitamin C plays a key role in the formation of collagen, the body’s major building protein, and is therefore essential to the proper functioning of all internal organs. Vitamin C is an antioxidant. This means that it reduces the damage that free radicals may otherwise inflict on the body. Free radicals are particles that cause inflammation. Some of the antioxidant effects Vitamin C has on the skin include:

Vitamin C cannot reverse the appearance of wrinkles that develop naturally over time. Vitamin C also helps reduce premature wrinkling by stimulating the growth of collagen. Collagen is a protein that provides structure and elasticity to the skin. A small scale study found that applying a 5% vitamin C solution for 6 months helped increase skin thickness compared with a placebo solution. Thicker, collagen-rich skin is less likely to show wrinkling than thinner skin.

Armenian Argan Oil
Over the centuries, Argan oil extracted from fruits of Argan tree (aka Argania Spinosa) has been much appreciated by the Berber tribes in Morocco. Due to its cosmetic properties, the primary use that people gave to Argan oil was as a skin protector from the ultra-dry climate. At the beginning of the 90’s, the tree that gives the fruits of which we extracted the oil of Argan was almost extinct. Due to all the properties beneficial to health and its immense history, in 1999 UNESCO recognized the Argan tree as a world heritage.
