Dark Chia Seeds
Go Green Armenia’s Dark Chia Seeds have numerous benefits, but one of the most unique properties of Dark Chia is its ability to absorb up to 12 times its weight in liquid. Soaked chia slows digestion and increases the time it takes for your stomach to empty which means you feel full for longer. Soaking chia will activate the seed, making it more digestible for your body, helping to prevent blood sugar spikes, decreasing cholesterol and keeping you hydrated!
How to use:
First, wash your seeds! Just like lentils, grains and beans, chia seeds need to be washed! Leave them in water and let them soak and drain the debris away. Then place your chia seeds in a jar of water, shake for about 2-3 minutes and then let it sit in the refrigerator overnight. If you’re in a hurry, simply swish the chia and water around in a jar (sealed) for about 5 minutes and let it sit for another 5-10 minutes and you should have a good gel-like consistency. You can also put 1 teaspoon of the chia seeds in a cup of yoghurt and let it soak up the fluids from the yoghurt!$4.00 – $15.00Dark Chia Seeds
