Real oak leaf is plated with copper by electroforming method. Being preserved for ever in a metal layer, the leaf is both lightweight and strong. Also, it is sealed with transparent protective varnish to prevent the oxidizing and change of color.
A special patina was applied to achieve fresh green color.

The brooch is decorated with an ethically sourced real snail shell (we pick empty shells in autumn, when snails finish their life cycle). Snail’s body is sculpted from polymer – there’s no real snail inside!
