This is an oil on canvas art piece, depicting a mother holding her child. There are traditional Armenian motifs throughout the piece; including the pomegranate tree that is bearing fruit, and has more life to give. There is also the hard working donkeys, that bear the weight of new life. There are gold graves in the background as well.

You will also notice that mother and child are wearing clothes adorned with characteristics and symbols of Armenian rugs and carpets.
