Cashmere shawl KOMITAS
This HASIS scarf was created on the motives of the ornaments of a pitcher belonging to Komitas Vardapet (Archimandrite Komitas). It is one of the exceptional samples of the Armenian faience art of Koutina (Kütahya), the birthplace of Komitas. The pitcher, which dates back to the 18-19th centuries, is stored and exhibited in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, in Alex and Marie Manoogian Treasury House-Museum.
