art doll “the red moth”

Description

This doll was inspirited by one moth, that I found in my home. It had plain grey wings. They hid the bright lower wings.  perhaps this is was the protection from predators . And I thought “How often do we women do this for  to be invisible”

Art doll – one of a kind,  completely handmade, special moulding material – flumo, natural silk, lace fragments,  painting with acrylics, watercolors and pastels, acrylic varnish,  hair – the wool of alpine goat.  Stand – iron, welding, made especially for this doll
