Connecting Armenians of the World.
$36.00
Author’s ceramics inspired by finds on the territory of Urartu of the 6th-8th centuries BC.
The shape of the jug, unique to Urartu, is similar to an Armenian karas, a traditional clay amphorae.
Beige, Dark Brown, Light Brown, Blue, Red, Green
Our inspiration: Along the entire perimeter of the jug there is a belt of three lines and decorations in the form of flower petals. Presumably created in the 8th century BC, it is part of the heritage of the Ancient Kingdom of Urartu. It was discovered during the first excavations carried out on the territory of modern Armavir during the times of Imperial Russia.
