It’s based on 4 ancient Armenian elements (soil, water, sun and air), which bear the ideological meaning of the origin of the flora and fauna and provide favorable conditions for the growth of the embryo.
The pendant’s octagonal form embeds the doubled four elements to represent both male and female origins. The intersecting squares, linked to each other, represent the embryos (children) and symbolize the strong bond between parents and their children.
