Decorative Scarf “On the Red” ( 70 x 70 cm)

A unique collection of scarves with female images by contemporary Armenian artists from around the world.
The project involves artists not only from Armenia, but also from Brazil, Iran, and Portugal.

The packaging is also unique. Unusual triangular boxes, reminiscent of school love triangle-notes. In such packaging, the scarf is a message to a loved one. The cardboard of the packaging is palpably reminiscent of an eggshell. This is a tribute to the unique Svan seagull, another symbol of the unique reality of Armenia.

Based on the original painting “Self-portrait on the Red” by the young Armenian artist Asthik Madyan.

“This is my self-portrait, in which I explore the image of a woman artist. She has no brushes, no palette, she sits in sports clothes and a headscarf, thus emphasizing the superiority of hard work and diligence over talent. In this painting, the face is the only three-dimensional and realistic space. It seems to emerge through the ornament and come to life. And all this on a red, almost symbolic background, which symbolizes birth and reminds me of childhood.”
