Lemongrass is an herb that is native to Sri Lanka and South India but GGA is growing it in Armenia!!!! According to an article in the Journal of Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology & Research, consuming lemongrass tea appears to lower cholesterol. Lemongrass tea inhibits bacterial growth. It helps fight bacteria that can cause cavities in the mouth, including S. sanguinis. Lemongrass is able to block pain. This means that drinking lemongrass tea helps alleviate pain! Drinking lemongrass tea infusions daily for 30 days can increase hemoglobin concentration and red blood cell count in the body. Drinking lemongrass tea can have diuretic effects, which means that it stimulates the kidneys to release more urine than usual.
