Peto Poghosyan was born in 1983 in Gyumri, Armenia, currently lives in Yerevan. Peto Pogosyan is Armenian artist known for his watercolor paintings, cityscapes . He works without any mixed media and combines dry brush with wet watercolor surface. Peto works both at studio and on location . Peto is focused on cityscape, trying to find and analyze focal points of the city.
He tries to depict the unique zones that combine buildings, streets, people living there, calling them “Intense points”. He looks for a mystery in everyday stream peering in common things, emphasizing one or the other element to pass an atmosphere, to tell a story.
Peto has hold six One man shows: among them exhibition at Falk Art Museum, Yerevan(2008), United Nations Office in Yerevan, Armenia (2013), Yerevan City History Museum ( 2014) and personal exhibition in Taipei (2016).
His works are in private, museum and corporate collections worldwide: USA, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Great Britain, Austria, Russia, Iran, UAE, Argentina, Canada, Yerevan city History Museum, American University of Armenia Qingdao Art Museum(China), Handan Sunshine Art Museum(China), A gallery (Serbia), Ajdovscina museum(Slovenia) and etc.
